Scatterloss

Antichess, scattered

Every piece starts anywhere. You win by losing them all.

Thirty-two pieces thrown across the board. Captures are forced. The king is just another body. Empty your army first.

  • Pieces scatter at random for both sides — nothing starts at home.
  • If you can capture, you must. No checks. Kings can be taken.
  • Lose every piece, or run out of legal moves, and you win.

A typical opening scatter.
